Fireflies Sheet Music

By popular demand I finally decided to make sheets for Fireflies by Owl City.

Note: I didn't put too much time into the sheets so a few things to remember

-Some of the notes should be held for longer than stated. I didn't want to go back and delete rests to make the notes longer.

-The rhythm my be a little messed up at times. If that's the case, do what you feel like doing/what feels better to you.

-Don't follow the sheets exactly. Add different parts, leave notes out, do things to make it your own and be creative.

Let me know about any problems you may occur with the sheets.

-Luke Erickson

  4. Great job on this!!! I just have some suggestions, but the most basic one I have is: It feels better in cut time (2/2). I might send you some more suggestions and/or a revised copy, but the revised copy would take a while, as I sadly don't have and music programs XD
Also, I'll have to find a way to send it to you....lol. Maybe just another comment with a link lol.

    And again, great job!!! :)

  5. You can always play the sheets as you prefer like pianoplaya says. Or you could find other sheets. Found this one also, but not free though. www.truepianotranscriptions.com. Still a bang for the buck.

  29. Thank you so much for this!
But...is it just my computer/printer that's having some problems with the dimensions? I click on the sheets to make them full-screen, but it's like they're too large - when I print it there's a part missing on the right side of the sheet...

Oh well, it's better than nothing! I'll just write the notes that are missing by hand! :D

    Thanks again!

  38. Sheet music for piano can be an expense that has no place in the budget. Depending on the type of music they want, they might be able to find free piano music that meets their needs. They just need to be willing and able to do some digging to find exactly what they need without the piano music cost.free, they need to keep in mind that modern pieces will be much more difficult to find. If someone wants to sing or play the hottest song on the radio today, chances are good they will find free music. It has not been outstanding long and there are several copyright laws that apply to the choice of music later.

  39. in the fourth measure of the 2nd bar.... there's a treble Eb... (the last note) I don't think it's there realy...

  40. Thank you for the job

But I've got to say it: it's not close to the original. I'm sorry but you only have to listen the song while following the score to notice that what you are hearing is not what you are reading. I'm not a TROLL, I'm simply a professional pianist who's luky to have absolute pitch. I only want to give my opinion.

Although that, I want to give you my support, I think people like you does a great job for many internet users without expecting any reward.

    1. That slightly defeats the purpose, and this peice spans several octaves, so your way wouldn't work anyway. There is plenty of other music score styles online though, if you don't feel like learning this type.

  43. Thanks for sharing the sheet. It will be much easier to have the music on paper rather than trying to look at a computer screen while learning to play piano. There are many resources available on the internet, however it will be good for you to deal with a reputable store like - MusicForte - that is competitively priced and has some great offers. Also you can print out the music that you want.
